TPEB CR became a full member of the European Technology Platform NetworldEurope ETP
In July 2021, TPEB ČR became a full member of the European Technology Platform NetworldEurope ETP, a major pan-European institution driving research and innovation strategies.
NetworldEurope is a new European Technology Platform (ETP) focusing on communication networks and services. The platform builds on NetWorld2020 and its successful operation in supporting policies that increased European competitiveness in this dynamic area. Communication networks and services enable interaction between users of different types of devices, mobile or fixed, and thus meet the interconnection requirements of a modern, digital society. NetworldEurope ETP brings together 968 members from the communications systems industry: 148 leading industrial companies, 356 innovative SMEs, 331 leading academic institutions and 133 other collaborating members.
The main goal of the NetworldEurope ETP is to regularly update the research agenda to joint research programs at European and national level. In this context, it should be emphasized that research and development in the field of mobile and wireless, fixed and satellite communications networks permeates many other technological sectors.
Membership in NetworldEurope gives all members the opportunity to influence the direction of research and innovation related to future communication systems in the field of mobile and wireless networks or to find opportunities for cooperation in research and development throughout the EU. Members also receive up-to-date reports on research activities and results, offers of participation in consortia or information on possible financial support for research and development. Last but not least, they can participate in consultations and ETP NetworldEurope reports, which are communicated to the European Commission and other relevant institution. Full members have voting rights at the General Meeting. Members also can contribute and provide feedback on the NetworldEurope Strategic Research and Innovation Program (SRIA).
